The group was formed to create, protect and develop a Trade Mark which would in time become a symbol of quality and value throughout the world of spare parts for domestic appliances. The partners in EDL organize joint buying and sourcing of parts, which itself guarantees uniformity of quality. Various matters such as catalogues, exhibitions, packaging and advertising are often arranged in cooperation with one another. 

All partners are well established and prominent within their respective countries, each offering nationwide distribution networks, 24 hour delivery service, counter sales and / or a distributor network. Europart products can be found in retail outlets all over the world. 

EDL has a great interest in working closely with OEMs. Thus many OEMs have been able to achieve cost-effective solutions to their parts distribution problems, by reaching agreements with the members of EDL. This close cooperation has provided a secure base for all parties to work from.
