full description : Universal Washing Machine & Dishwasher Water Block Safety Device
pack quantity : 1
other information
This is an indispensable device for washing machines and dishwashers; preventing a flow of water greater than the one set by the adjustment pointer, avoiding continuous leaking. The water block also has an anti-polluting non-return valve. The device should be installed vertically: following these instructions carefully.
Technical Features:
* Burst Pressure: 500 N/cm2 * Maximum Static Pressure: 100 N/cm2 * Maximum Controllable Volume: c50litres * Minimum Operating Capacity: 2litres/min * Maximum Operating Capacity: 30litres/min * Maximum Water Temperature: 70OC
User Instructions:
The water block should be installed between the tap and the supply hose of the household appliance. Using the enclosed plastic key, turn the pointer anti-clockwise to the required setting: for washing machines set the pointer on number ‘8’; for dishwashers, set to number ‘4’.
Caution: for use on other fixtures, set the pointer to a position suitable for the particular application, considering that each number on the scale corresponds to a controlled volume of approximately 4-6litres.
Installation:
Manually screw the Water Block to the tap having a suitable thread (3/4" gas), inserting the filter with its convex side facing upwards. The water block will not operate properly if the filter is not installed correctly. If the Water Block is tightened or loosened with the aid of a wrench, the same must be applied to the appropriately octagonally-shaped part of the housing.
Screw the supply hose to the lower end of the Water Block. If the supply hose is equipped with a filter, a flat rubber washer must substitute the latter. If the hose has to be tightened or loosened with the aid of a wrench, the same must be applied to the appropriately octagonally-shaped part of the Water Block’s housing so as to hold it firmly whilst performing this operation.
If a failure occurs causing a continuous water leak, the Water Block will shut off when the volume of water flowing through equals the amount to which it was previously set with the pointer.
To reset the Water Block again after it has shut off; turn the tap off and carry out the necessary repair work. Remove the supply hose from the Water Block and press the coloured plunger, located inside the lower housing of the device itself. It may be difficult to press this plunger if there is high pressure at the inlet side of the water block. In this case; slacken the device from the tap: the plunger can then be pressed with ease.
