Daewoo manufacture several 'American-Style' refrigerators, the most popular being the FRS2031IAL and the FRSU20FA, all of which use externally fitting cartridges.

The cartridge used is the DD-7098, which connects to the back of the refrigerator using ¼ inch outside diameter plastic tubing.

Many Daewoo fridge freezers sold in the UK and Europe use the popular DD-7098 in-line filter. This is installed in the tube that supplies the appliance with mains water.

The DD-7098EF-9603 Water Filter is designed to improve the quality and taste of water and drinks and should be changed every six months.
